David Lynn served three consecutive terms as President of the HHTRN (Houston High-Tech Recruiter's Network the predecessor to the GHRN).  He has been involved in all stages of the organization’s history and growth, beginning with the very first organizational meeting waaaay back in 1987.  In addition to his responsibilities with the GHRN, David has also served as the President of the Global Technical Recruiters Network (www.gtrn.org) which, similar to the GHRN, is a not-for-profit professional organization which serves to provide an infrastructure and framework for networking and cooperative efforts between the various Recruiter Networks nationwide and functions as a focal point for furthering the developmental opportunities for career Recruiting professionals.

 David has more than 20 years of recruiting experience (yes, he’s old!).  Over the course of his career he has worked all sides of the desk, from contingency placement to corporate HR, to independent consulting and executive recruiting, and is currently the President and co-founder of CrossWind Ventures, Inc., a firm that specializes in providing Recruiting expertise and solutions to their clients.  His HR experience includes compensation, relocation, training, generalist duties, and, of course, Recruiting.  David has been in HR for a Fortune 250 corporation, was a Director of Recruiting for a Big 5 Management Consulting firm, and has had VP and Director roles over Recruiting functions for other companies in the Houston area.

Outside of work, David is very involved with his family, his church, and various outdoor activities.
