JOHN-MARKSTEPHENSON

John-Mark began his career 16 years ago as an executive search consultant. For the next 4½ years, he headhunted focusing primarily on searches for medical, accounting and financial professionals.

His was recruited to Deloitte & Touche LLP with whom he spent six years as the Director of Recruiting for their South Texas Practice and as the Regional Practice Leader for the Training Services Group, a consulting organization focused on performance improvement and organizational development. Moving to Baker Robbins & Company as their Professional Resources Director and Director of Training and Organization Development, he was charged with developing their recruitment, training and development, mentoring and project staffing processes. Most recently, he was the Director of Recruiting for Reliant Energy’s Wholesale Group.  Currently, John-Mark is the owner of The Recruiting Mentor, a consultancy specifically focused on providing services in recruiter and recruitment process development.

With experience serving a client base ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 clients, John-Mark developed an understanding of what it took to successfully find a job within a highly competitive marketplace. He consulted extensively with both his clients and candidates about the interview process. Over time, he has developed a unique and highly effective approach to interviewing, recruitment and recruitment process development.
