Greater Houston Partnership

The Greater Houston Partnership is the primary advocate of Houston’s business community and is dedicated to building economic prosperity in the region. It is a private, nonprofit organization, not a government agency or a charitable organization. Its membership is comprised of 1,800 businesses of all sizes, employing one of every four Houston area workers. The majority of its revenue comes from member dues and contributions, publication sales, events and interest. If it is a fact about the Houston business climate, this organization has it!

Entertainment (some well known, some not so well known)

Radio Music Theater

What’s a Radio Music Theatre, you ask? Well, it’s not the first time that question has been asked. Radio Music Theatre is three people doing multiple comic characters and playing multiple musical instruments. It’s the singing Fertle family; it’s Houston satire. It’s sketch comedy and full length plays. It’s a man doing wildly creative sound effects while he plays keyboards; it’s a man running lights and slide projectors while he flies in props from the ceiling. It’s controlled chaos. It’s hard to characterize. Many times audience members say, “We were here last month, and we came back tonight and brought friends with us. We tried to describe Radio Music Theatre to them, but they just looked at us. You can’t describe it. You just have to see it.”

Houston Theatre District

The Houston Theater District is ranked second in the nation for the number of theater seats in a concentrated downtown area and is one of only five cities with permanent professional resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines of opera, ballet, music, and theater.

The Theater District, a 17-block area in the heart of downtown Houston, is home to Houston's nine world-class performing arts organizations, the 130,000 square foot Bayou Place entertainment complex, restaurants, movies, plazas, and parks.  Houston is one of only five cities in the United States with permanent professional resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines - opera, ballet, music and theater.

More than two million people visit Houston's Theater District annually to experience the magic and excitement found on the stages of the Wortham Theater Center, Alley Theatre, Jones Hall, Aerial Theater, and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.

Houston Museum District

A scenic landscape of tree-lined streets, parks and urban sculpture is the backdrop to the Houston Museum District. Relative newcomers like Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, Byzantine Fresco Chapel Museum, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Houston Center for Photography and Rothko Chapel, join an already eclectic mix of museums, anchored by The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) and its decorative arts collections at Rienzi and Bayou Bend.

Space Center Houston

Applaud the accomplishments of NASA and the American manned space flight program at Space Center Houston. You will relive the past achievements of the space program and witness today's history in the making. Everything you see in the facility is realistic. Space Center Houston's creators kept in close contact with NASA to ensure the most accurate experience. Each attraction is self-guided so you can spend as much time, or as little time, in each areas as desired.
