The
Greater Houston Recruiters Network is a professional organization of, by
and for recruiters. A volunteer
organization, we depend on voluntary commitments from our members to
keep our organization moving forward. Committee
chairs are always seeking help for the many projects undertaken to
deliver value to our members. Give
as much or as little time as you can, but please give something. Many
hands make light work.
Our
membership is open to those individuals who seek to enhance their
capabilities and networks in our chosen profession of recruiting. If you are a recruiting professional who works in a corporate
recruiting capacity, who accepts contract assignments for your own
services, or who works for a staffing agency or search firm, we welcome
you!
By
submitting the information required below, you acknowledge having read
and agree to adhere to the following
conditions of membership:
Non-Solicitation
Policy
Part of the mission of the GHRN is to provide recruiters with a
community of like-minded peers for professional networking.
Simply put, we are about networking and not solicitation.
Members who misuse GHRN membership information or events shall be
suspended or expelled with cause.
If you are unclear as to what it means to “misuse”, speak
with a member of the Board.
Code
of Ethics
If the mere mention of the word “ethics” evokes intestinal distress
and makes an eye start to twitch, then this is not the organization for
you. Our Code of Ethics is
quite simple: Do right.
Do
right until the stars fall.
You
know when you are about to do something that is unethical, however,
slightly so it may be. Justify
it however you want, you know if it is the RIGHT thing to do.
If you would be proud to have whatever you do printed on the
front page of the largest circulated publication of your city, then go
for it. If you wince at the
thought of the whole world knowing what you are doing and the damage
that it could cause you, then don’t do it.
Do
right. Remember, in our
profession your greatest asset is not your database of candidates, your
internet mining capabilities, or line 22 of your 1040.
Your GREATEST asset is your reputation.
Do
right.
Be
Committed
We recognize that especially in these economic times, there may be cause
for professionals to move in and out of the recruiting profession.
If one of our members finds themselves no longer a recruiting
professional, we understand. Such a hiatus from recruiting may be unavoidable if one wants
to say…eat. All we ask of
our membership is that if they are committed to being a recruiter, stay
with us...even during your hiatus.
If you know you are leaving the profession for good, then it may
be time to leave our Network.
Dues
Dues are currently $50 for the calendar year.
Please
make your check payable to GHRN. You can mail your check
to the address below or deliver in person. Your application will be
reviewed, and you will be contacted with further details.
Membership
information will be kept in strict confidence and used only for
communication of GHRN events and networking-related topics.
